Remote air-cooled, 1-phase ice machine that can produce up to 1,594 pounds of ice every 24 hours. Engineered for high-volume, energy-efficient ice production, the KM-1601MRJZ is ideal for busy food-service, hospitality, healthcare, and seafood operations that require a reliable supply of crystal-clear crescent ice cubes. Its durable stainless-steel cabinet and evaporator, paired with Hoshizaki's exclusive CycleSaver™ design, deliver more ice in fewer cycles, helping to keep utility costs low and extend component life. For the condenser, choose the URC-22FZ remote condenser and matching brazed line set (available in 25 ft, 35 ft, or 55 ft lengths). Always pair "Z" model ice makers with "Z" model condensers. - This ice machine can produce up to 1,594 lbs of ice per day when the air temperature is 70°F and the water temperature is 50°F. It is AHRI certified to produce 1,550 lbs of ice per day when the air temperature is 90°F and the water temperature is 70°F.
- The ice cubes it produces are individual crescent-shaped, measuring approximately 1 ⅛ inches wide, 1 ½ inches long, and 1 ½ inches tall. These cubes are free-flowing, making them perfect for filling tight glasses.
- The remote air-cooled design keeps the heat and noise outside of the kitchen. It can be paired with the matching URC-22FZ remote condenser, which is sold separately.
- The heavy-duty stainless-steel exterior and evaporator are corrosion-resistant, ensuring years of reliable service.
- The EverCheck™ control board provides audible and visual diagnostics to help minimize downtime.
- The ice machine uses environmentally friendly R-404A refrigerant.
- The ice machine is NSF and UL listed, and it meets the U.S. Department of Energy's 2024 standards.

- The B-1150SS and B-1300SS are also compatible ice storage bins.
