Its premium edge-grain Northern hard rock maple surface, paired with a sturdy stainless steel frame, provides the legendary durability, food safety, and craftsmanship that professionals have trusted since 1887. Regular oiling not only enhances the wood grain but also helps resist staining, cracking, and bacterial growth.

Care & Maintenance:

  • Re-oil the maple top monthly (or when dry) with John Boos Mystery Oil; seal with Board Cream for added moisture resistance.

  • Clean the stainless steel legs with non-chloride cleaners (e.g., Bar Keepers Friend) and soft cloths; rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not use abrasive pads, wire brushes, or cleaners containing bleach or quaternary salts.
